Follow my Journey

I’m Toni Toomey. I’m a founder, operator, advocate, and mother, and everything I build is rooted in one core belief: women deserve better support in motherhood.

My own postpartum journey reshaped my life. What began as a season of survival became a catalyst for building work that restores confidence, dignity, and self-trust for women navigating one of the most transformative chapters of their lives. That belief shows up in everything I do.

I’m the founder of Hone, a premium postpartum and nursing apparel brand built on intention, design, and wellbeing. Hone exists to close the gap between function and beauty for mothers. We design elevated pieces made from hormone-safe, natural fibers, with truly thoughtful nursing access and long-term wear in mind.

Hone was born from lived experience. I wanted clothing that respected my body, my hormones, and my identity, without asking me to compromise on style or comfort. We are building Hone to be the brand women trust during the nursing stage, and long after.

mom built

I’m the founder of Mom Built, a private, no-pitch Slack community for founders building products, companies, and platforms for mothers.

Mom Built brings together women who understand the responsibility of serving this audience with care. It’s a space for thoughtful conversation, shared learning, and real support among founders who are designing for moms, not extracting from them.

The community exists because building for mothers requires nuance, lived understanding, and integrity. Mom Built is about collaboration over competition, depth over noise, and building better businesses by staying connected to the women we serve.

From Birth to Bold

My platform, From Birth to Bold, is the throughline that connects all of my work.

It’s about helping women move from survival to self-trust. From recovery to confidence. From feeling unseen to feeling grounded and capable again.

As Mrs. Coeur d’Alene, I use this platform to advocate for maternal mental health, education, and access to resources, particularly in Idaho, where postpartum depression impacts women at significantly higher rates than the national average. I believe representation matters, and leadership grounded in empathy can create real change.

Why This Matters

Motherhood fundamentally changes who you are. It also reveals what systems are broken.

I build, speak, and lead at the intersection of design, wellness, and advocacy because women deserve solutions that honor their full humanity. Not just during pregnancy or birth, but through the long, complex postpartum chapter that follows.

This work is personal. It’s professional. And it’s ongoing.

Welcome.
